ASPEKT Foundation, Nitra, Slovakia 

Founded in 1992 in Nitra, the ASPEKT Foundation has become one of the most important non-profit independent institutions of Slovakia. Since its establishment, in close co-operation with academic institutions in Slovakia and abroad, the ASPEKT Foundation has been dedicated to the best educational ideals and a philosophy of better human understanding and bringing people together through education and language learning.

The ASPEKT Foundation has run a number of academic career programmes and courses (such as: International Business, Economy and Management) and coordinated such projects as Logos Gaias (2002-2004), EPANIL: European Common Principles for the Accreditation of Non-Formal and Informal Learning (2004-2006), VOLANT: Vocational Language Training for Students of Car-repair Related Professions (2008-2010), SEL: Sustainable Europe and Local Food (2012-2014), SAVO: Safety in Vocational Training (2012). Since 2004 year the ASPEKT Foundation has provided also accredited courses: Effective Personal Training, Personal Computer and its Usage in Practice and English Language for Pre-primary and Primary School Teachers.

Aspekt Language School offers also day-time and evening language courses (English, French, Italian, Germany, Russian, Spanish, and Slovak as a foreign language) at all levels of language proficiency – from elementary to advanced.

The ASPEKT Foundation expanded its activities in 1995 and established a new Classical Music section to support young talented people in Slovakia. 

Teacher.sk, s.r.o., Nitra, Slovakia 

Company Teacher.sk, s.r.o. was established in 2009. Development and application of modern educational approaches to computer science education have a dominant position in the company's activities. Teacher.sk offers innovative projects for secondary and higher educational institutions. It provides support for e-learning education for secondary schools. Its portal studuj.it is focused on the development of IT skills for students of secondary schools, who would like to start a professional IT career.

The company cooperates with several Slovak universities: Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and Comenius University in Bratislava (e-slovak.sk). It participates in carrying out the various projects (The Modern Informatics, Error Typology in Machine Translation into Slovak as an Inflectional Language), supports the activities and events organized by the universities in Nitra as Students Research Conference, Scientific Trade, and others, and provides professional practice for students in software projects, which the company designs and develops.

The professional staff of the company is specialized in mobile and web applications development, development of e-learning courses and solutions, popularisation of computer science and publication of educational resources focused on informatics, e-learning, programming languages and data science. Teacher.sk produced and integrated solutions for national companies like Slovenske elektrarne, a.s., as well as for industry companies like Slovenske energeticke strojarne, and others.

University of Ostrava in Ostrava, Czech Republic

The University of Ostrava (OSU) is a public research university educating nearly 9,000 students at six faculties: Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Studies, and Faculty of Education. Teaching at OSU is research-driven, and its programmes are often taught by active researchers. The small size of the university and its relative youth (founded in 1991) allows for a strongly individual approach to students and flexible reactions to the needs of modern society and the labour market. The university offers high-quality education and many possibilities for those who wish to fulfil their visions. It aims to contribute to solving urgent problems of the Moravia-Silesia Region in social, environmental, and health areas and to shape Ostrava as a truly university town. The University of Ostrava provides an international study environment and opens itself to the challenges of contemporary society. It attracts a wide variety of students, including specific groups (senior citizens, students from disadvantaged backgrounds, students with special needs), and advocates equal access to education and friendly communication with the public. 

The Faculty of Education has a long tradition of providing excellent pre-service as well as in-service teacher training for various types of schools. 

University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland

The University of Bielsko-Biala was founded in October 2001 as an independent governmental academic institution. At present, there are about 7000 students studying at five faculties that employ experienced academic staff embracing professors and other specialists. Their number is constantly growing and currently there work about 400 people, with 200 professors and doctors. The University of Bielsko-Biala is open to new ideas and opportunities to improve modern educational tools.

Internationalization has become the most important objective of the University being constantly promoted through its participation in various European network projects. The University cooperates with institutions from all over the world and the number of bilateral international agreements is growing rapidly each year - nowadays the University of Bielsko-Biala has agreements with about 100 institutions in more than 25 countries.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 2001. It has four departments which offer various courses and undertake research in a wide range of subjects -

languages, education, pedagogy and journalism. There are four levels of study available at the Department: bachelor's (first cycle), master's (second cycle), and doctoral (third cycle)along with several advanced/postgraduate study programmes.
